As we gear up for the start of Lemonade Day Chicago programming, we have created three domain leadership positions that will work with Future Founders Foundation staff to add capacity and increase our impact. Since launching Lemonade Day Chicago, we have served over 14,200 students at more than 50 partner locations. This year, we’ll be working with 5,000 students. We’ll be adding new components that will increase our visibility in the community. To do this, we are working to assemble teams of high skilled volunteers that can leverage their expertise in support of Lemonade Day programming. These positions are all volunteer and unpaid. Applications will be accepted through January 15th. Each role will require between 5 to 10 hours per week. Reports to: City Director, Lemonade Day Chicago Deadline to Apply: January 15 Start Date: Between Mid-January and Mar. 1st Location: The Future Founders Foundation is headquartered at Lightbank’s offices (600 W. Chicago Ave., Suite 775, Chicago, IL 60654). Much of the Domain Leader’s role can take place remotely Time Commitment: 5-10 hrs per week, including one in-person two hour meeting per month
LOCAL BUSINESS PARTNERSHIPS The Local Business Partnerships Domain Leader (BDL) is responsible for building awareness and support for Lemonade Day in the local business community. The BDL will work with the City Director and the Future Founders Foundation team to recruit a team of volunteers to do outreach to local businesses. The Local Business Partnership team will work to secure support from business owners by posting Lemonade Day materials, promoting Lemonade Day to their mailing lists, providing space for youth to set up their stand outside their businesses on Lemonade Day and by providing seed investments for youth.

EVENTS The Events Domain Leader (EDL) is responsible for assisting in planning and execution of the three key programmatic events, Lemonade Day Chicago Launch Celebration (Mid-March), the Best Tasting Lemonade Competition (May 31), and Lemonade Day Chicago 2014 (June 7). The EDL will work with the City Director and the Future Founders Foundation team to assemble a team of volunteers to assist him/her in coordinating key aspects of the preparation for the program events, which may include venue selection, guest lists, program details, media coverage, and volunteer schedules and assignments.

COMMUNICATIONS The Communications Domain Leader (CDL) will assist the City Director in outreach to traditional and social media outlets. The CDL will work with Future Founders Foundations staff to raise awareness about key aspects of Lemonade Day Chicago including the Lemonade Day Chicago Launch Celebration, the Best Tasting Lemonade Competition, student’s stand locations, and Lemonade Day Chicago 2014.
