Future Founders, a non-profit organization that believes every youth can become an entrepreneur, today announced the appointment of Becky Getz to its Board of Directors.
Becky Getz is the VP Head of Design Operations at Capital One, where she leads a talented Experience Design Team of over 500 employees across the United States. Prior to this role, Becky spent 25 years working for blue chip clients at global creative agencies, leading businesses and directing campaigns that have won Emmys, Cannes Lions, Clios, and Effies. Most of that time was spent at Ogilvy, where Becky was a founding member of the team that developed the acclaimed Campaign for Real Beauty for the Unilever Dove brand.
After Ogilvy, Becky spent two years running an independent creative agency in Chicago. Next she moved to the client side, working for Capital One where she’s been for three years.
Becky is a Chicago native and an avid supporter of the Chicago Marketing community, the Chicago Tech community, the Chicago Blackhawks, and all Chicago restaurants.
“I believe in inclusion and diversity. To me that means making space for all voices. Those that are young, inexperienced, naive, but also passionate and idealistic and creative are our future,” said Getz. “The space that Future Founders makes for these voices and the resources that it puts toward encouraging, teaching, and amplifying those voices is critical for all of us.”
“We are honored to have such a creative, talented, and passionate advocate join our Board. Becky has engaged deeply with our work and our program participants, and we know she’ll bring a wealth of knowledge and creative energy to our organization,” said Scott Issen, President & CEO, Future Founders. “With Becky’s appointment, we are excited to strengthen our relationship with Capital One, one of the most respected partners in the global entrepreneurial ecosystem.”
Capital One is a long-time sponsor of Future Founders, supporting our skill-building work with middle and high school students in Chicago as well as our 18 to 30-year-old founders across the nation.
