Meet the 17 ambitious young founders moving on to the next phase of the Future Founders Startup Bootcamp!
Startup Bootcamp is Future Founders’ innovative startup launch program that provides the top idea-stage founders in the nation with the skills, tools, mentorship, and network they need to get their businesses off the ground.
The program kicked off in February with a series of virtual programs that gave founders an opportunity to network with peers, connect with entrepreneurial thought leaders, and build skills through leadership development workshops and monthly peer-to-peer sessions. Their work in Phase One culminated with the Startup Bootcamp Pitch Day, where founders pitched their businesses to a panel of entrepreneurs, investors, and business leaders from across the country.
Of this impressive group of 44 young entrepreneurs, 17 were invited to participate in Phase Two of Startup Bootcamp. These founders have shown particular dedication to the program and the community, and have demonstrated measurable progress toward validation or increased sales since beginning Phase One. In Phase Two, founders benefit from more personalized, hands-on support in growing their businesses.
“These 17 talented entrepreneurs have worked tirelessly to build their businesses throughout Phase One of Startup Bootcamp,” said Scott Issen, President & CEO, Future Founders. “Each of these innovative companies epitomizes the visionary, intentional entrepreneurship we hope to foster at Future Founders, and we’re excited to continue supporting these founders in this next stage of their journey.”
The members of this year’s Phase Two cohort bring a breadth of experience to the Future Founders community. Whether they’re leveraging cutting-edge AI or genetic engineering technologies or promoting financial responsibility or civic engagement, each of these companies is committed to leaving the world better than they found it.
The second phase of Startup Bootcamp will kick off with a series of skills development workshops centered on project management, securing grant funding, and more. Future Founders is incredibly grateful for the entrepreneurs and business experts who have agreed to share their time and expertise during these sessions, including Claire Coder (Founder & CEO, Aunt Flow | 2017 Future Founders Fellow), Murtaza Bambot (Founder & CEO, Heartbeat | 2018 Fellow), Adeel Afshar (Co-founder, Halal Beauty Cosmetics | 2022 Fellow) and Tina Hrabak (Senior Startups Consultant, Future Founders). Over the coming months, founders will enjoy a plethora of speaker and workshop opportunities, as well as one-to-one mentorship and seed grant funding. The program concludes in November with an in-person retreat in Chicago.
Startup Bootcamp is generously supported by Blackstone Charitable Foundation, Coleman Foundation, Keywell Foundation, Summer Oaks Fund, and The John E. & Jeanne T. Hughes Foundation.
