Future Founders, a non-profit organization that believes every youth can become an entrepreneur, today announced the 18 entrepreneurs who were selected to participate in the 2016 Fellowship, a part of its Future Founders Startup program.
The Fellowship is a selective year-long program that accelerates the success of the nation’s top young entrepreneurs. Fellows have priority access to all Future Founders Startup services plus benefit from mentoring, entrepreneurial experiences, a peer community, and volunteer opportunities through other Future Founders programs.
“The 2016 Fellows represent some of the best and brightest entrepreneurs across the country,” said Scott Issen, President & CEO, Future Founders. “We have high hopes that this year’s cohort will match or exceed the significant business and personal milestones that our 2015 cohort achieved. We’re enhancing the 2016 Fellowship experience by launching intensive Founders Weekends and community-building activities to better support these rockstar entrepreneurs.”
The Fellowship is an initiative of Future Founders Startup, a dynamic platform to engage, equip and empower collegiate entrepreneurs. Through the program, Future Founders brings together dozens of universities, incubators, community organizations and businesses and curates resources to help young entrepreneurs succeed. The program promotes cross-school collaboration and increases the capacity of university programs by broadening their reach into the community. Future Founders Startup is generously supported by Capital One, The Coleman Foundation, The John E. and Jeanne T. Hughes Foundation, Keywell Foundation, Motorola Solutions Foundation and Accenture.
Acceptance into the Fellowship followed a nationwide application process. The 18 entrepreneurs who were selected for the 2016 Fellowship cohort represent 13 schools in seven states. The Fellows’ businesses represent industries including arts, tech, food and non-profits.
Congratulations to the 2016 Fellowship cohort:
