Future Founders, a nonprofit building the nation’s largest inclusive community of intentional young entrepreneurs, today announced the appointment of Mike Shannon to its Board of Directors.
Mike Shannon is the Co-Founder and CEO of Impruve, the AI-sidekick that solves “execution leak” and helps bridge the gap between plans and results for businesses of all sizes. Prior to founding Impruve, Mike was the Co-Founder and CEO of Packback, the leading AI-powered writing improvement tool in US Higher Education, which in 2024 was successfully acquired and named by Time as one of the “World’s Top Education Companies.” Mike earned a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Illinois State University.
“I think of Future Founders like the accelerator at the ground floor of a founder’s career,” said Shannon. “And with entrepreneurship being, in my eyes, the single greatest force for building the future, Future Founders’ focus on leveling the playing field across a diverse range of talented creators is something that I believe will continue to have ripple effects across the economic and social landscape of the country.”
Having spent many years as “the young kid in the room,” Shannon has a unique understanding of the challenges young entrepreneurs face starting and scaling businesses. Launching his first startup while attending college, he and his co-founders “…went through the gambit. You name it, we experienced all the tough stuff.” It’s this trove of past experience and “potholes” that Shannon hopes to draw from to help young entrepreneurs across the Future Founders community.
