Middle school is a critical developmental age when young people start to develop their identities and aspirations for the future. Startup Spring Break shines a light on the incredible opportunities that exist today and introduces a new pathway so youth can explore the STEM-driven careers of tomorrow.
ACCESS TO FEMALE ROLE MODELS
Startup Spring Break provides middle schoolers with direct access to powerful, inspiring female role models. Participants spend the week building connections with successful female entrepreneurs, developing relationships with like-minded peers, and creating app-based businesses.

PRODUCTIVE USE OF SPRING BREAK
Research shows that school breaks are where achievement gaps are made and lost. Startup Spring Break participants are immersed into a supportive environment where their vacation serves as one of the most learning-rich and fun weeks they’ll experience all year.

How much does the program cost?
Nothing! This is a free program for students and their families.
When does the program run?
Startup Spring Break aligns with the Chicago Public School Spring Break: April 3-7, 2023. Programming runs from 9:00 am-3:30 pm daily, Monday through Friday.
Where is the program located?
Startup Spring Break programming will take place in person at the ActiveCampaign offices in downtown Chicago (1 N Dearborn St 5th floor, Chicago, IL 60602)
How can my child get access to this program?
Acceptance to Startup Spring Break requires both an online application and an asynchronous video interview. Due to the high volume of interest, our two-step application helps to find the most excited and committed students. The application isn’t based on grades or prior experience in entrepreneurship. We are looking for motivated students from all backgrounds and experiences.
