Tayyaba Ali is a Startup Coach at Future Founders. In this role, she supports high school students in our Be Your Own Boss Summer Internship, helping them develop their entrepreneurial mindsets and 21st Century skills.
Tayyaba is a serial entrepreneur and researcher with past experience in wearable technology and patient monitoring, starting her entrepreneurial journey at the age of 19. After pursuing biomedical engineering and material engineering for her undergraduate studies, Tayyaba launched Monitus, a biotech startup focused on creating monitoring devices for high-risk patients in the medical industry.
Tay’s current startup and product development interests lie in biotech/medtech and defense tech. She speaks regularly on these topics, including as a guest at the 2020 MIT Global Community Bio Summit. In addition, she actively serves as a designated mentor for UIUC’s Hacking for Defense (H4D) undergraduate class and is a part of the DEF Hopper Task Force, where she connects the Department of Defense with novel technologies and solutions.
