Future Founders is building the nation’s largest inclusive community of intentional young entrepreneurs. Our programs are free of charge, and we never take equity in your business.
The Future Founders Apprenticeship helps 18- to 25-year-olds gain the tools, mindset, and real-world experience to pursue entrepreneurship and career success. Over 10 weeks, Apprentices learn how to turn ideas into viable business concepts through workshops, coaching, and hands-on projects, culminating in a Pitch Day where they present their business ideas to a panel of judges and community leaders.

The Apprenticeship is designed specifically for young adults who want to learn by doing—no prior business experience required. Here’s what makes a great Apprentice:
Spend 6-8 hours each week in interactive sessions and group projects that build entrepreneurial, career, and leadership skills
Strengthen essential professional skills like resume writing, interviewing, and communication to prepare for future jobs and internships
Learn how to spot opportunities, design a business model, and pitch your idea with confidence through hands-on, real-world exercises
Connect with local founders, alumni, and peers who inspire growth, share insights, and help you build lasting confidence
Throughout the program, Apprentices participate in in-person events featuring workshops, field trips, and guest speakers from Chicago’s entrepreneurial ecosystem. These immersive days help Apprentices translate classroom learning into real-world application, and see that entrepreneurship isn’t just an idea, it’s a path forward.
